CALIFORNIA SENATOR ALAN'S CRUNCHY SESAME CHICKEN | |
1 garlic clove, diced 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 c. soy sauce 1 cut-up fryer chicken, 3-4 lbs. 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/3 c. wheat germ 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 2 1/2 tbsp. sesame seeds 3/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. paprika Optional: Mix 1/2 cup chopped peanuts to bread crumbs or sprinkle chicken with sliced blanched almonds before cooking. Mix soy sauce, oil and garlic clove in bowl. Pour over chicken in a shallow pan. Let marinate for 15 minutes covering both sides of chicken. In pie pan, mix bread crumbs, wheat germ, parsley, sesame seeds, pepper and paprika. Remove chicken from marinade and cover well with bread crumb mixture. Place on greased baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 1 hour or until done. Serves 4. |
