APPLESCOTCH CRISP 
4 c. peeled, sliced cooking apples (Granny Smith)
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. water

TOPPING:

2/3 c. flour
1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) dry pudding mix, butterscotch, French vanilla (not instant)
1/2 c. butter, melted

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients; mix well. Pour into ungreased 9 inch square pan. In bowl, combine topping ingredients; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples. Bake 45 to 50 minutes until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm or cool. 8 to 9 servings.
