1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. fresh bread crumbs
1/2 can tomato sauce (Hunt's)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Combine meat, crumbs, tomato sauce, onion, egg, green pepper, salt and pepper. Mix well and form into a loaf and place in loaf pan.

Topping:

1/2 can Hunt's tomato sauce
1 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar

Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour part over meat loaf and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Pour remaining sauce over top, return to oven and continue baking another 30 minutes.
