DUTCH MEAT LOAF 
SAUCE:

1 lg. can (29 oz.) tomato sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. King syrup or Karo syrup
2 tbsp. regular prepared mustard (not dry mustard)
1 c. water
2 tbsp. vinegar

Stir ingredients and reserve about 1/4 cup to add to meatloaf mixture.

MEATLOAF:

1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1 chopped onion
1 c. fresh bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. sauce mixture

Mix ingredients and form loaf. Pour sauce over top and sides of loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

I added a little bit of garlic powder to the mix. Also, make note that the recipe for the sauce is off in measurement. I didn't add any water. It was thin enough. Even after pouring over the meat, I still have a lot of sauce left for serving.
