POPOVER PIZZA | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 c. chopped onion 1 (1 1/2 oz.) env. spaghetti sauce mix 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. water 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced mozzarella cheese 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan. Brown ground beef with onion; drain grease. Stir in sauce mix, tomato sauce and water; simmer 10 minutes. Spoon into greased pan; top with cheese slices. Place in oven to keep hot. Beat eggs, milk and oil until foamy. Beat in flour and salt until batter is smooth. Pour over hot meat filling to cover completely. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cut into squares; serve white hot and puffy. Serves 8. |
