This waffle recipe is the best one we have tried so far. I added just a little bit of vanilla to flavor them though

I have used a very similar recipe for years. I add a little vanilla and also a tsp of malt. Rounds out the flavor.

So glad to have run across this recipe. I too did just a little modifying by adding vanilla, quarter tsp salt, half tsp sugar and half tsp fresh lemon juice. OMG.... light, almost pastry like when they came out of the iron. You must give this a try. I think it will become my go to recipe for waffles!
