CREAM CHEESE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 (3 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour

Cream shortening until fluffy. Gradually work in cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in egg yolk, vanilla and sifted flour.

Put through cookie press. Can be dropped by spoon on greased cookie sheet. Dough can be tinted if desired. Bake at 375 degrees 12 to 15 minutes.
