POLYNESIAN BAKED ALASKA 
1 slice pound cake
1 scoop vanilla ice cream
1-2 tbsp. crushed pineapple in heavy syrup
Meringue to cover
Cherry

On top of slice of pound cake mound one scoop vanilla ice cream. Make well in center of top. Gently place pineapple in well. Quickly cover entire thing with meringue so that no part of dessert is exposed. Bake in oven at 400 °F until golden brown. Upon removing from oven, top with cherry and serve.
