STARTER BREAD
FIRST MIX STARTER:

3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. instant potatoes
1 c. warm water

Put in quart jar with 6 to 8 holes in lid. Let sit out 3 to 5 days.

1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. salt
6 c. bread flour
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 c. stirred starter

Starter can be refrigerated, you need to feed it every 3 to 5 days. Never let it get over 3 cups in jar. You can give a friend a cup or pour one out, it don't rise, it bubbles.

Let 1 cup of starter sit out of refrigerator 8 to 12 hours. In large bowl, mix all dry ingredients and oil. Then add water and starter, mix by hand. Grease plastic bowl with shortening. Put dough in bowl and press down. Turn dough over so both sides are greased. Place towel over, let rise 8 to 12 hours. Lightly dust flour over board. Pour dough out and fold over several times. Divide 3 equal parts and grease all over with melted butter. Spray pans with Pam. Set aside; cover with towel for 8 to 12 hours. When risen, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. If pans get jarred the dough will fall. If it does fall throw it away.
