“YEAST FREE PIZZA CRUST & HOMEMADE PIZZA” IS IN:

YEAST FREE PIZZA CRUST &
HOMEMADE PIZZA

CRUST:

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil

PIZZA:

Tomato sauce
Ground pork or hamburger, browned
Chopped onion
1/2 tbsp. pizza seasoning*
Mushrooms
Shredded pizza cheese

Mix flour, salt, baking powder and water. Knead on floured counter just until workable and spreadable, about 2 minutes. Put on pizza pan. With fingers, spread vegetable oil on crust (helps so tomato sauce won't soak into crust) then spread with tomato sauce and top with the meat of your choice. Sprinkle with pizza seasoning and top with mushrooms and cheese.

Bake at 425°F for 20 minutes.

Note: Pizza seasoning can be purchased at the supermarket. It has all of the dried spices together and you just sprinkle it on.

Variation: Roll the dough out thinly and use to make stuffed "Hot Pockets", calzones or turnovers. Fill with your favorite filling (a pizza topping with cheese and chopped pepperoni is my favorite!).

Message to plopiun, these kids will be far healthier being vegetarians than you can ever hope to be! You should watch the movie "food Inc" and read some books: meats is very acidic in our bodies and is not easy for our bodies to break down not to mention all the growth hormones and antibiotics that are in the meat.

well... we are 14 and we did this little recipe here and it took a while. We kept adding flour thinking it would be a little less sticky? wrong but we but it in the oven and it ended up a whole lot better than we though it was going to be! :)

Very good recipe and very simple. Loved it! The only thing I added was some Italian Seasoning mix to the dry ingredients before I added the water. Also, I added the oil directly to the mix and it turned out absolutely perfect for me. I might try adding some grated parmesan cheese to the mix for a different flavor. Could probably incorporate a variety of ingredients to the mix to flavor the crust. Sun dried tomatoes?

I used wheat flour, added garlic powder to the dough mix, and used 1 1/2 dough recipe to make a rectangle pizza on a regular cookie sheet. It turned out pretty good. I'd just say not to use as much oil and reduce cooking time to about 15 mins in a gas oven. Otherwise, very nice, easy no yeast recipe!!!

I made the crust into little calzones, came out great! Name your filling and stop paying the price for hot pockets.

Lovely recipe and easy too!

For those of us who do not have time to go buy pizza seasoning, there are two seasoning recipes on this thread, be sure to ignore the random recipes that people threw in because they didn't read the question.

Sara, you should have payed attention a little bit better to the rest of the comments, Rolf pointed out a very valid point:

"Valerie & plopiun: surely you'll both agree that this is not the forum to debate the viability of a vegetarian diet. Why not just live your own lives as you see fit and merely be thankful that this yummy recipe came our way."

Wow, thanks. I am working in rural east Africa and have my children with me. Pizza is one thing we all really miss. We made this dough, chopped tomatoes up really fine for a "sort of sauce", added chopped meat and local cheese!! We used charcoal to make a bit of an oven by surrounding the pot with it. took a bit longer but hey!!! Pizza we now have!!

I think I made the crust too thick so it kinda turned out like a crumbly biscuit but it still tasted pretty good. I added some garlic salt and onions into the dough. It gives a wonderful kick.

My mom (I'm a kid who loves to cook) said that it needed a bit more water (I agree), because it's a-bit too stiff so about a 1/4 cup of more water. Oh yeah Valerie & Plopiun You are both right meat is not healthy but you do still need to eat it because then if you eat only vegetables your immune system will not function properly and would also be weak so just balance your food. And the recipe is awesome. I love it!_! 0_o

The dough was way too stiff. We had to add water. But it was good.

This recipe was really good, but it needed a little squirt of honey in it.
