LEMON LOAF | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c.flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. lemon rind In large bowl, cream butter, sugar and 1 egg. Beat in second egg; blend in milk. In second bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and lemon rind. Pour over batter. Stir to moisten. Spoon into greased loaf pan 9x5x3 inch. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until it tests done. Remove from oven. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan. Allow to cool before slicing. |
