LEMON - NUT LOAF 
6 tbsp. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
Grated rind of 1 lemon
Juice of 2 lemons
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in lemon rind and half the lemon juice. Stir dry ingredients together; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Fold in walnuts.

Place in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Combine remaining lemon juice and sugar; stir to blend. Spoon mixture over hot loaf. Remove from pan when cool.
