SCALLOPED TURNIPS 
Turnips
Green pepper, chopped
Onion, chopped
Grated Parmesan cheese
Medium white sauce

Wash, scrub and drain white turnips. Pare. Cut into quarters or slices. Cook in small amount of salted boiling water until just barely tender. Do not overcook. Slice hot turnips into buttered baking dish or casserole. Cover with medium white sauce. Sprinkle with chopped green pepper and chopped onion. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons grated cheese. Cover. Bake in 375 degree oven only until cheese melts. Uncover. Bake 5 minutes longer. Allow 1 to 2 medium-sized turnips per serving.
