VENISON STEW WITH DUMPLINGS 
2 lbs. venison meat, cut into cubes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. diced carrots
1 c. tiny onions
3 c. cubed potatoes
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Season meat with salt, pepper and flour. Brown in hot shortening or oil. Pour meat and drippings into large black pot. Cover with boiling water. Simmer until tender. Add carrots and onions. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add potatoes and sprinkle in garlic powder. Simmer for 30 minutes more.
