BAKED PINEAPPLE DESSERT 
Crust:

1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Mix butter, flour and brown sugar. Pour into a 9x13-inch pan and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Filling:

1 can crushed pineapple
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
4 egg whites

In a saucepan place the pineapple, sugar and cornstarch. Cook until clear, then cool

Beat egg whites and fold pineapple mixture into them. Spread on crust and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

Topping:

whipped cream
maraschino cherries

Serve with whipped cream and top each serving with a cherry.
