PECAN BUTTER BALLS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. granulated sugar or powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. soft butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Sift together into medium bowl the first 3 ingredients. Add next 3 ingredients and work with spoon or hands until well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls or small logs. Place on cookie sheets and bake in slow (300 or 325 degree) oven about 25 minutes until pale brown. Roll hot cookies in powdered sugar. When finished with all cookies, roll in powdered sugar a second time.
