CORN BREAD 
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. self-rising corn meal mix
1 egg
1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
dash of salt
3/4 tbsp. oil

Stir first 6 ingredients until well blended. In medium iron skillet, add 3/4 tablespoon oil; heat until hot. Add bread batter and bake at 400°F for 15 minutes. Then broil until top is brown.
