GRANDMA HELEN'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 
1 lg. can puree
1/2 can (puree) water
1 sm. can tomato paste
2 serving spoons sugar
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 bay leaves
1 pork chop, uncooked
Baking powder
1 tsp. olive oil

Cook onion, pepper, and garlic in olive oil until tender. In saucepan, mix puree paste, water, sugar (wet end of serving spoon - stick in baking powder - whatever clings, put in sauce), pork chop, salt, pepper and bay leaves. To sauce, add onion, pepper, garlic. Simmer 2 hours. Stir often with wooden spoon.
