FRYING PAN COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. chopped dates
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/4 c. Maraschino cherries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Flaked coconut

Melt butter in frying pan. Mix together dates, eggs and sugar. Add to melted butter and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Cool. Drain and chop cherries, then add with the rest of ingredients. Shape into balls and roll in coconut. Refrigerate.
