MEXICAN CASSEROLE | |
2 lb. ground beef 2 med. onions, chopped 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 1/2 c. taco sauce 1 (3 oz.) can green chilies 8 oz. tomato sauce 2 tsp. garlic powder 10 oz. corn tortillas, broken or plain tortilla chips 8 oz. shredded cheese Brown beef and onion and drain well. Add remaining ingredients (except tortillas and cheese) and simmer 20 minutes. Layer in greased 13 x 9 inch pan: tortillas, broken in bite size pieces, then meat mixture, then cheese, and repeat, ending with cheese. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minute. Serves 8-10. |
