CHOCOLATE OATMEAL BARS 
1 c. butter
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour, soda, salt and oatmeal. Place 2/3 of mixture in bottom of 9x13 inch pan.

12 oz. chocolate chips
1 can Eagle Brand milk
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate chips, Eagle Brand milk and butter. Add salt, nuts and vanilla. Pour over oatmeal mixture. Put remaining half of oatmeal mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Do not over bake. 24 servings.
