HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
2 lb. stew meat, cubed 1/4 c. flour 2-3 med. onions, chopped 1 med. green pepper 1 clove garlic 2 tbsp. paprika 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. leaf marjoram 1/4 tsp. pepper 32 oz. undrained tomatoes, chopped 1 1/2 c. water Coat beef in flour. Brown beef and onions in several tablespoons of hot oil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, cover and cook for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Combine 3 tablespoons flour with 1/2 cup water and blend into meat mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Serve over noodles or potatoes. Serves 6-8. |
