SOFT RAISIN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt

Boil raisins in 1 cup water until water is gone. Mix shortening, eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and raisins. Roll into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Bake in 350 degree oven for 12 minutes.
