SOFT RAISIN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. raisins

Cook down to 2 tablespoons liquid. Cool.

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Add dry ingredients. Add raisins. Drop by teaspoonsful dip one side in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
