SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. soft bread crumbs
1 c. milk
1 egg, beaten
2 med. onions, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Oil
1 c. hot water
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. cold water
Melted butter
Hot cooked rice

Combine meat and next 7 ingredients; mix well. Form into small meatballs. Heat oil in skillet, brown meat balls, remove from pan. Add hot water to meat drippings.

Mix together flour and cold water to make paste, add slowly to skillet mixture to make brown gravy. Return meatballs to skillet and cover and cook 30 minutes or until done, adding water as needed. Melt butter and pour over cooked rice. Serve meatballs over rice. Serves 4-6.
