LASAGNE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. can cut up tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1 to 2 cans tomato sauce
1 chopped onion
3 cloves chopped garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
Oregano and sweet basil to taste
1 to 2 lbs. Monterey Jack cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
Grated Parmesan cheese
1 pkg. lasagne noodles
1/4 to 1/2 c. Imperial butter

Brown ground beef in large skillet. Add tomatoes - juice too. Add tomato paste, chopped onion, and garlic. Add seasonings and butter. Simmer sauce for at least 1 hour. Briefly cook noodles in salted water until soft. Drain noodles. Pour a little sauce in baking dish (9 x 13 inch). Arrange layer of noodles, sliced cheese, grated Parmesan, and sauce. Continue with layers, ending with sauce and cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees, covered, for 1/2 hour.
