VANILLA-CHERRY DESSERT 
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1 graham cracker pie crust
2 egg yolks (beaten)
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix and cook first five ingredients over medium heat until thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter. Pour over prepared graham cracker crust. Cool slightly. Spoon cherry pie filling over top. Cool completely. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
