CHEWY SQUARES 
2 sticks butter
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box light brown sugar
1 c. pecans, chopped

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Stir in brown sugar; cool slightly. Beat eggs in small bowl with whisk and add to butter mixture. Add vanilla. Stir in flour until thoroughly blended. Add pecans. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Cut before completely cool.

Makes 24 to 30 pieces.
