BIG SOFT BANANA COOKIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. softened butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. grated orange peel
2 bananas, mashed (1 c.)
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, wheat germ, salt, baking soda and nutmeg in small bowl. Beat butter, sugar and egg with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in orange peel. Add flour mixture alternately with mashed bananas; stir until blended. Stir in nuts and raisins. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls, 3 inches apart, onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks. Makes about 30 cookies.

Each cookie provides: 110 calories; 2 g protein; 4 g fat; 17 g carbohydrates; 7 mg calcium; 84 mg potassium; 54 mg sodium; 1 mg vitamin C; .07 mg vitamin B6.
