WINTER BIRD PIE 
5 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 lb. lard
12 oz. jar peanut butter
3 1/2 c. cornmeal
3 1/2 c. cream of wheat
Aluminum pot pie containers
5" popsicle sticks

Cook 2 cups oatmeal in 4 cups water for 2 minutes. Add 1 pound lard and 12 ounces of peanut butter. Remove from heat; add 3 1/2 cups each oatmeal, cornmeal and cream of wheat. Mix thoroughly. Fill aluminum pot pie containers. Before mixture hardens, insert popsicle stick (or 5" twig) in center for perching. Store in refrigerator or freezer; use as needed. Hang vertically on branch.
