SKEWERED STEAK CUBES 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/4 c. sugar
1 c. catsup
1 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. dry mustard
2 lemon slices
1/2 tsp. salt
Hot pepper sauce (bottled)
4 med. potatoes (canned, drained and rinsed with water)
2 green peppers, quartered

In pan combine onion soup mix, sugar, catsup, water, oil, vinegar, mustard, sliced lemon and salt. Stir until sauce boils. Add couple dashes of hot pepper sauce. Cool. Cut steak into 1-inch cubes and put in sauce. Add potatoes.

Marinate a couple of hours (longer if desired). Remove meat and thread meat, potatoes and vegetables on skewers. Brush with sauce and grill 5 inches from hot coals 5 minutes. Brush again, turn. Grill until done (about 10 minutes).

Serves 4.
