BROWNIES AND/OR FILLING 
BROWNIES:

2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. plain flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tbsp. vanilla

FILLING:

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well. Sift flour and cocoa together and add to cream mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured 9"x12" pan and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until well done.

FILLING: Combine all ingredients, beating until smooth. Spread half of brownie batter in baking pan. Cover with cream cheese filling. Top with remaining brownie batter and bake. NOTE: If cheese filling is hard to spread dip knife in hot water.
