DEVILED PUFFS | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. water 1 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 4 eggs 1 (8 oz.) pkg. light cream cheese 1 (4 1/4 oz.) can deviled ham In a sauce pan, melt butter in water and bring to boil. Add flour and salt; stir vigorously with wooden spoon over medium heat until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat; cool 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg with a wooden spoon for 1 to 2 minutes or until smooth. Drop batter by rounded teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and inch apart. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire rack. To make filling, mix cream cheese and deviled ham and beat well. Fill puffs by slitting side and inserting filling. Puffs can be made ahead of time and frozen unfilled. Fill with cream cheese mixture just before serving. |
