BEAN SOUP | |
2 lb. Great Northern beans Water 1 lb. ham hocks 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt (or to taste) 1 can tomatoes (optional) Boil beans in water and drain; rinse well. Add fresh water (2 inches above bean level), ham hocks, sugar, salt and tomatoes. Cook 3-4 hours or until beans are done. |
