2 c. brown sugar 2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 egg, beaten 1 c. milk 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Stir sugar into flour and mix well. With a pastry blender, cut in butter until mixture is like cornmeal. Measure 1 cup of this mixture and set it aside. To rest of mixture, add egg, milk, soda, salt, vanilla and flour. Place in a 9x13x2 inch pan. Spread with topping and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. TOPPING: 6 Heath bars, broken in wrapper 1/2 c. pecans, chopped 1 c. mixture (flour, sugar, butter mixture) 24 servings. Calories 215, fat 10.6 gm, calories from fat 44%, sodium 206 mg.
