SOMEN SALAD 
1 pkg. Somen noodles, boiled (Japanese noodles)
2 c. Iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 c. ham, diced
2 eggs, scrambled in lg. pan and cut in 1/2 inch strips
1 pkg. Kamaboko (Japanese fish cake) or 1/2 c. crab
3 stalks green onion, chopped

DRESSING INGREDIENTS:

1 c. Japanese vinegar (rice vinegar)
1 c. soy sauce
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. sesame oil
Dash of monosodium glutamate

Lay noodles on large platter in "small nests". Garnish with lettuce, Kamaboko, ham, eggs, and green onions. Mix dressing ingredients and shake. Add to salad just prior to serving. Serves 6 to 8.
