E. C.'S DADDY'S STEW 
10 lb. beef, cut into bite hunks
10 lb. potatoes, peel & quarter
3 lb. onions, chopped big
2 lb. carrots, cut into hunks
Stalk of celery, cut in hunks
1 (32 oz.) bottle ketchup
3 qt. tomatoes, hunks with juice
3 qt. water
4-6 oz. Texas Pete
Salt, pepper, crushed & cayenne pepper (to taste - lots)

Cover bottom of fry pan with oil and brown beef. Put beef into very large pot with 2 quarts tomatoes to start cooking while browning rest of beef. Add rest of ingredients while frying beef. Cook approximately 3 1/2 to 4 hours on slow heat. Eat with lots of tea and big crowd!
