CANDIED NUTS 
2 c. English walnuts
3/4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. rich milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugars and milk until a soft ball forms in cold water. Let cool. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour syrup over walnuts. Stir and drop on wax paper by spoonfuls. Let cool, then serve.
