1/2 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. thick sour cream
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. fruit cake mix
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugar and eggs. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Sift together and stir in flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Mix into dough the fruit cake mix. Bake at 400 degrees hot oven. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen (2 1/2 inch) cookies.
