BROWN BREAD 
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening (or a little less)
1 c. All-Bran cereal
1 c. boiling water
2 pkg. dry yeast (or 1/2 lg. cake yeast)
1 c. lukewarm water
2 eggs, well beaten
6 c. flour

Put salt, sugar, shortening, and All-Bran in a large bowl. Pour boiling water over these ingredients and let stand until cool. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water, then add to cooled mixture. Stir in eggs. Then add flour and knead dough. Let rise, punch down, and let rise a second time. Make into 2 large or 3 small loaves. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
