1 c. flour
1 c. water
1/2 c. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar or alum (1 tbsp.)
2 tbsp. cooking oil
Food coloring

Mix dry ingredients in a saucepan, add oil, water and food coloring. Cook 3 minutes or until mixture pulls away from pan. Knead right away. Careful--mixture can get hot enough to burn. Add food coloring while kneading. Keep in airtight container for hours of fun.
