CHRISTMAS CAKE COOKIES 
1 lb. chopped dates
1/4 lb. chopped candied pineapple
1/2 lb. chopped candied cherries
2 c. nut meats
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cut up fruits and stir 1/4 cup flour into them to keep them from sticking together, set aside. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in dry ingredients and all fruit and nuts. Drop by spoonful in ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
