CHRISTMAS CAKE COOKIES 
2 eggs
2 lbs. dates
1 lb. pecans
1/2 lb. candied cherries (4 oz. red, 4 oz. green)
1/2 lb. candied pineapple (yellow)
2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Chop all fruit and nuts. Combine and set aside. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon. Set aside. Cream butter. Add sugar. Beat until smooth. Add eggs and beat again. Add flour mixture. Stir until smooth. Add fruit and nuts. Blend until coated.

Drop mixture from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Makes a lot of cookies.
