ORIENTAL BEEF STEAK 
2 lb. round beef steak (1 inch thick)
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 tsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
3 carrots (1 inch squares)
8 onions in 1 3/4 inch pieces
1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
1/2 c. cooked rice
2 diced green peppers
1 can golden mushroom soup

Cut steak in 1/2 inch thick and 4 inches long. Brown in butter. Pour off fat and add 1 cup water. Add soy sauce, sugar, pepper (black). Cover and cook slowly 45 minutes.

Add sliced carrots, bell pepper, onions, mushrooms. Cook cover 15 minutes. Add 1 can of golden mushroom soup. Simmer. Serve over cooked rice. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
