SOUR CREAM GINGER BREAD 
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
3/4 tsp. ground ginger
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. molasses
2 eggs
1/2 c. sour whipped cream (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8"x8"x2" baking pan. Mix flour and baking powder. Set aside.

In large bowl cream butter, brown sugar, salt, spices until fluffy. Blend in molasses. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Add sour cream alternately with flour mixture, beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 24 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes on wire rack. Serve warm or cold.
