JUMBO CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels
1 c. pecans, chopped

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
