OLD-FASHION PEACH COBBLER 
1 egg
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/3 c. milk
1/2 c. self rising flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. sliced peaches or 2 cans sliced peaches

Put fruit in bottom of dish greased. Beat together sugar, butter, milk, and egg. Add cinnamon and flour. Top fruit with batter spreading smoothly. Bake in preheated oven to 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve hot with cream or custard.

VARIATION: Pitted cherries, plum or berries.
