MOTHER'S PLUM KUCHEN 
1 1/2 c. milk
1 cake yeast
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. salt
Grated lemon peel
5 to 6 c. flour

Heat milk to lukewarm. Combine yeast, sugar and add to milk. Set aside until bubbly. Cream butter and eggs, beating well. Add to yeast mixture with salt and lemon peel. Stir in enough flour to form soft dough. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let double. Knead, raise, and knead again. Spread dough 3/4 inch thick in greased oblong pan.

Single layer plums over dough. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and pour over top one beaten egg yolk mixed with 3 tablespoons cream. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown.
