ICING FOR RED VELVET CAKE 
5 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter or Crisco

Cook flour and milk until thick, stirring constantly. Let cool and be sure mixture is cold. Beat the sugar, Crisco and vanilla. Add flour mixture. Continue beating until creamy. Beat until all grittiness is gone. Domino Sugar Fine is wonderful for this recipe. Cuts down on beating time.
