GERMAN SKILLET SUPPER 
1 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
Salt & pepper to taste
4 c. cabbage, cut with knife, shredded
2 c. potatoes, sliced
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce

Melt butter in skillet (I use an electric skillet). Layer cabbage over butter. Layer onions over cabbage. Layer potatoes over onions. Layer ground beef into small pieces over potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Pour tomato sauce over all. Cover and cook on low heat (325°F) for 30 to 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and meat is cooked through.

Serves 4 to 6.
